Connecting to Eduroam using geteduroam app
To connect to eduroam using the most up-to-date method, follow the instructions below:
You will need a network access token. Go to tokens.uis.cam.ac.uk, sign in with your University account and you will see this:
Either scroll below to find a token that you want to reuse and click Reset, or fill in the username field with an identifier and add a description and click Create. You will then be presented with the username again and a token password.
Open a new browser tab and go to geteduroam – eduroam.org and click download on your respective operating system:
Run the downloaded file, type “cambridge” and select University of Cambridge:
Click next until it asks for a username and password, this is where you use the username and password from step two:
Take note that “@cam.ac.uk” is prefilled, as you might end up with it twice.
Click connect and it should connect and save the eduroam network token to your device.
If you run into issues, check if there is already a remembered network connection for eduroam on your device. Go to your WiFi settings and manage known/saved networks and forget all networks that reference eduroam. Then repeat these steps again.
