Updating Java for CUFS

Go to the Java downloads page for CUFS here:

CUFS Java Downloads | UFS (cam.ac.uk)

Select the latest tested release and your operating system (the dates and version number will change):

The filename will be slightly different each time, but a file will be downloaded. Go to your Downloads folder:

Right click the file and select Extract all or use the button in the toolbar:

Click Extract:

Once the files are extracted, double click to run the executable:

The install will require administrator privileges, so enter your elev account credentials in the box that opens.

Click Install to install Java to the default location.
